Chestnut, Sudo break records at Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest

The annual Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest took place Saturday with no crowd in Coney Island.
The competition is a tradition for July Fourth, but the five men and women who took part this year followed new safety measures to reduce the risk of COVID-19.
All competitors had their temperature checked and were 6-feet apart from each other with dividers.
The competition was held in the Nathan's Flagship store in Coney Island and broadcasted live on ESPN.
Miki Sudo won her seventh-straight women's title with a record-breaking 48.5 hot dogs.
"It was definitely different without the crowds but I kept reminding myself that there were millions of people watching back home on ESPN," says Sudo. "We might be without a crowd, but we're not without fans."
Joey Chestnut also set a record and won his 13th overall contest by downing 75 hot dogs.
