Some local Black-owned businesses will soon have a valuable new tool at their fingertips.
Sarah Thompson and Yvette Young helped get ShopBlackCT.com off the ground due to businesses struggling during the pandemic. They say it is even worse for Black-owned businesses.
ShopBlackCT.com services over 350 Black-owned businesses statewide. This resource is free for Black business owners to get advertising.
This collaborative volunteer project also helps promote Black-owned businesses during these trying times.
Many of the businesses are featured on the website's blogs, like The Singing Sliders Food Trailer in Torrington.
