Fairfield County police news conference on reform bill turns into shouting match
Fairfield County police officials were supposed to share their concerns over the police reform bill headed to the Senate Monday, but their press conference was cut short when it turned into a shouting match with protesters.

The News 12 crew says that police even asked them to come inside the station.
Protesters who support the bill got increasingly loud and the conference was called off.

Qualified immunity for officers a hot-button issue in police accountability bill
Police tell News 12 they're planning to give the protesters some time and space to voice their concerns.
The most controversial aspect of the bill is the rollback of qualified immunity, which can be used to shield officers from lawsuits.
Gov. Ned Lamont announced Monday he now supports the bill after that portion was rewritten to his satisfaction.
