Voters head to polls in Bridgeport despite heat, storm damage and pandemic

While many in the state chose to fill out an absentee ballot, some people were seen at Bassick High School in Bridgeport Tuesday to vote.
Despite the heat, storm damage and the pandemic, candidates and volunteers were seen trying to drum up votes with greetings and signs.
Inside the high school, people were seen wearing masks and being spread out as they turn in ballots.
Voters tell News 12 they wanted to continue the tradition of voting in-person despite the challenges and distractions.
