? Some Stratford parents are voicing concern over a redistricting plan they say would jeopardize their children?s education.
Parents spoke at a Stratford Board of Education meeting Wednesday. The plan they?re opposing calls for students who currently attend Wilcoxson Elementary School and eventually Bunnell High School to instead go to Wooster Middle School then Stratford High School. The BOE says it is addressing overcrowding issues at Bunnell. However, parents say education officials have not asked parents to voluntarily move their children. They also wonder whether overcrowding at Bunnell is a danger.
The BOE could make a decision by the end of February. If approved, the changes would take effect in September.
