Fort Griswold Celebration on the Thames

Fort Griswold State Park, Groton, CT

Featuring entertainment, food vendors, and fireworks over the Thames River. Free admission. Live music from 6 p.m. to 9:15 p.m. with fireworks directly after. Parking at Groton Heights School or Washington Park.


Hartford Riverfest Fireworks

Mortensen Riverfront Plaza, Hartford, CT

Riverfest Hartford is set for Saturday, July 9, 2016. Riverfest will be complimented by the Riverfest Food Truck Festival at Mortensen Riverfront Plaza on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, along with the annual festivities on both sides of the river. Fireworks Saturday around 9 p.m.


Milford’s Kickoff to Summer Blast


NEW DATE: Friday, July 8, 2016
Lisman Landing, 37 Helwig St., Milford, CT

Featuring live music, food trucks, beverages and fireworks at the harbor. Event runs from 4 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., with fireworks around 9:15 p.m. Free admission. 


New Canaan Family Fourth of July Celebration

Wavenly Park, New Canaan, CT

The 36th Annual Family Fourth of July Celebration will be held at Wavenly Park.  Late day activities will include family picnicking, live music, children's games, food court and a spectacular fireworks display. Event passes are necessary to enter the park both by car or walking; passes can be purchased at the Recreation Department Office, Town Hall or online by residents.  Rain Date of Tuesday, July 5, 2016 (fireworks only).


Newington's Annual Extravaganza

Mill Pond Park, Newington, CT

The 35th annual Extravaganza will feature food vendors, musicians, paddleboats, entertainment, fireworks, games and many other family-oriented activities.  Over 100 vendors are expected to join this year, including artists and crafters, nonprofit organizations and civic groups, and local businesses.  Admission and parking are free.  The event will conclude with a spectacular evening fireworks display over Mill Pond Park.


Niantic's Celebrate East Lyme Fireworks

Main Street, East Lyme, CT

The 15th annual Celebrate East Lyme will be held on July 16 from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. with food, activities, entertainment and vendors. Featuring more than 200 vendors, live music and more. Concluding with a fireworks show.


Quassy Amusement Park 3-D Fireworks Celebration

Viewing glasses will be sold for $1. Parking $10 on July 4.


Rowayton Fireworks Show

Bayley Beach, 11 Pine Point Rd, Norwalk, CT 06853

Fireworks will be launched from a barge beginning at 9:15pm. The performance will last approximately 30 minutes.  Access to parking at Bayley Beach will be according to daytime rules.

NEW DATE: Tuesday, July 5, 2016
Short Beach Park, Stratford, CT

Events begin at 7 p.m. with fireworks after sunset.


Weston Family Fourth Celebration
Monday, July 4, 2016
Weston Middle School Field, School Road, Weston, CT

Featuring live musical performances and children’s entertainment, barbecue and more. Bring blanket or lawn chairs for fireworks. Gates open at 4:30 p.m. Fireworks start at 9:20 p.m. (attendees are urged to arrive before 8 p.m. to beat the rush). $20 per car or $5 for walk-in. Rain Date is Tuesday, July 5, 2016.
