MILFORD - A little bit of rain didn't stop shoppers from coming out to the annual Lamplight Stroll in Milford this evening.

Hundreds of people filled with holiday cheer were out and about in Milford for the 12th Annual Lamplight stroll. While everyone says it a great way to get the community together, local store owners say they love the holiday shoppers it brings to their businesses.

A total of 29 stores are participating in the event this year. Store owners hope the deals being offered will lead people to buy their holiday presents locally instead of at the mall.

While shoppers took advantage of the deals, children got to meet Mrs. Claus and see an 8-foot elf.

The Lamplight Stroll will continue through Saturday evening. Shoppers are given passports that are stamped when they go into one of the stores. Those who collect all 29 stamps will be entered into a raffle for a $500 gift basket.
