A Stamford community is disgusted after vandals marked up their neighborhood with not just graffiti, but racial slurs.Police say they have some leads into who painted the racial symbols that covered Old Long Ridge Road, Mill Valley Lane and other streets Sunday night. They say symbols such as ?KKK? and swastikas were just some of the disturbing epithets that residents woke up to Monday morning. Police say they do not believe any specific individuals were targeted in the attack. However, they insist it was a hate crime, not Halloween fun.Stamford police say they anticipate an arrest and they will prosecute to the fullest extent of the law. The vandalized mailboxes have since been cleaned and the signs replaced, but the crime?s impact remains on the minds of community members.
