SOUTHWESTERN CONNECTICUT - The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood watch until 8 p.m. for northern Fairfield county.

Periods of light to heavy rain could result in the flooding of local roadways. 

Winds will be between 10 and 15 mph, and today's high temperatures will be in the high 50s or low 60s.

Tonight will be mostly cloudy with heavy scattered showers expected.
