The Westport Police Department got the first Tesla police car in the state of Connecticut.
Despite the $50,000-plus price tag, the force assures the public that this car will save a lot of money in maintenance costs.
It goes from 0 to 60 in just over three seconds, and it blends in with many of the other electric cars in town as well. The car is fully electric and has a range of 310 miles on a charge.
The force says they are even hearing from other police forces around the country who are interested in doing the same thing.
This isn't the first time Westport police have embraced this type of technology. Back in 2007, it had the first green Prius models.
