Bridgeport police say a taxi driver has been charged with sexually assaulting a local college student in his cab.
Police say Yves Pierre, 45, a driver with the Yellow Cab Company, picked up the 18-year-old victim Saturday night.
They say the victim, who attends Sacred Heart University, told them she sat in the front seat and Pierre started touching her inappropriately.
The victim told police her friends got out of the cab when they arrived at their destination, but Pierre locked the door and continued to touch her.
Police say Pierre is charged with sexual assault and unlawful restraint.
