It might not be easy to find a public bathroom on the streets of the Bronx, but the city is looking to change that.The city has announced plans to build 20 new public bathrooms across the city by June 2007. Each visit will cost the customer $1. The New York Post reports the City Council isn't sure where the bathrooms will go, but are likely to be installed near parks.The plans also call for 330 newsstands to be built across the city and 3,300 new bus shelters. The shelters will be made from recyclable material and will have benches and a side panel with customer information and maps.Cemusa is building all of the new structures. In exchange for maintaining and installing them, the company will be allowed to sell advertising space on the structures.
