Officials say one woman was killed and several people have been displaced after a fire ripped through a three-floor apartment complex in Derby.
Fire crews say they got the call at around 7 a.m. and arrived at the complex within minutes.
The fire was brought under control within a half-hour. Four families made it out of the complex unharmed, and several pets were rescued.
The deceased woman has not been identified.
Four families are now displaced after the blaze. Crews say the apartment is a complete loss, and most of the items inside were destroyed.
Resident Jamie Palmer and her son, David, are among the displaced. They are asking for help to get back on their feet after the fire destroyed their belongings.
A GoFundMe page has been set up for the family.
