Starting on Thursday, the Bridgeport Art Trail will showcase the work of over two hundred artists through open studios, exhibits, music, and more.
This year's theme, "Thoughts and Prayers," draws inspiration from artists' responses to gun violence and global unrest.
Visitors will have the chance to step inside buildings and witness the creative process up close. The trail will feature a diverse range of art installations, music, poetry, and film citywide. Noteworthy pieces include "United," a symbol of peace, and intricately dyed scarves that showcase the magic of natural dyes. The event culminates in a public art walk to admire the latest murals in the area. Open Studios is a welcoming occasion for both the public and local residents to be inspired and immerse themselves in a wide array of art forms.
News 12 Photojournalist Lori Golias shows us how the event offers a unique opportunity to explore the vibrant arts community in Bridgeport.
The walk will take place from Nov. 9-12. For more information, click
