Police have released surveillance video of two men accused of breaking into an apartment in Claremont and robbing a family with a gun and knife.
It happened on May 8, around 10:40 p.m. inside 1711 Morris Ave.
Police say two men followed a 43-year-old man to his apartment and forced their way inside.
One man had a gun and the other had a knife, according to police. They stole an ottoman, cellphones, jewelry and cash, then drove off in a black Acura TL with New York license plates, police say.
Police say the victim's 28-year-old wife and 4-year-old son were inside the apartment at the time of the robbery.
The two men were caught on surveillance video inside the stairwell of the apartment complex, one smoking a cigarette, as the men appear to be preparing to break in to the apartment.
Both men are described as being approximately 6'0" tall and 200 pounds. One man was last seen wearing a black-hooded sweatshirt and armed with a firearm. The other man was last seen wearing a gray-hooded sweatshirt and armed with a knife.
