Several Memorial Day parades have been canceled due to rain showers

A male was shot multiple times Thursday morning in the Hollow section of Bridgeport, according to officials.

Police say a 911 call reporting the incident came in shortly after 9 a.m. Several police cars responded immediately to the scene at the intersection of Washington and Highland avenues, which is one block away from the police department.

Officials say the victim was taken to a hospital.
