Police officers and firefighters gathered with Norwalk city officials for a special flag-raising ceremony. Mayor Harry Rilling urged the public to remember the 14 people with ties to Norwalk who were among those killed.

The victims were also remembered in Bridgeport at the city's fire headquarters this morning. The fire chief said they want to pay special recognition to the first responders who died on 9/11.

Members of the Stamford community came together at Jackie Robinson Park to honor the victims. Stamford's police chief paid special attention to the Stamford officers who bused in to volunteer in recovery efforts at ground zero.
