Gov. Ned Lamont led the state's first Infrastructure Summit in Hartford on Friday to talk about what the state could look like over the next decade.

He says billions of dollars from Washington, D.C. will spur more development around train stations making commute times shorter.

“You're going to be able to go from Stamford to New York in 15 minutes less time,” said Lamont. “You know what that also means? That means Bridgeport will be as close to New York City as Stamford is today."

The new federal money is also expanding high-speed internet to rural areas of Connecticut.
