State Rep. Luxenberg arrested, charged with DUI
State Rep. Geoff Luxenberg, who represents Manchester, was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence.

State Rep. Geoff Luxenberg, who represents Manchester, was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence.
According to a statement posted by Luxenberg, no injuries were reported and there was no accident.
He also said that he is taking the matter seriously and wishes to address it immediately.
“I am seeking personal counseling and treatment at this time to assist me in my desire to prevent something like this from happening in the future,” said Luxenberg. “I am truly sorry for my actions and apologize to everyone that I have let down.”
Speaker of the House Matt Ritter and House Majority Leader Jason Rojas responded to the news with a joint statement:
“Hearing of Rep. Luxenberg’s DUI arrest is disappointing and we hope he learns from this serious lapse in judgment. Geoff has indicated that he is taking steps to ensure this never happens again and we support and encourage him in that decision. We are removing Rep. Luxenberg from all committee and leadership assignments until further notice. Luxenberg is the third Democratic lawmaker involved in a drunk driving incident this year.
In March, Rep. Robin Comey crashed her car after leaving a bar.
In January, Rep. Quentin "Q" Williams was killed in a crash. Although the other driver was faulted, both were above the legal limit.
