A vehicle slammed into a pole in Harwinton Thursday night.

The incident happened on Terryville Road at the intersection of Blueberry Hill Road.

Route 72 was closed between Locust Road and East Church Road while police investigated, but has since reopened.

Eversource was also at the scene during the time.
