Connecticut's congressional delegation is speaking out after the U.S. Army's Thursday's decision to cancel its Future Attack Reconnaissance Aircraft (FARA) program with Stratford-based Sikorsky.
The Army said it is scrapping the new scout helicopter as part of a reassessment of future priorities.
The state's entire congressional delegation issued a joint statement in response saying, "We are extremely disappointed that the Army has decided to walk away from the FARA program. We have been told on multiple occasions by the Army that FARA was their number one priority. This is a complete reversal of that position."
