A man was shot and killed as he was leaving the Waterbury Superior Court on Thursday.
Police said the victim was a 26-year-old male from Waterbury.
The victim had attended a court proceeding earlier in the day and was shot outside of the courthouse, according to police.
The victim was transported to a nearby hospital but died from his injuries.
Officials said the suspect fled the scene before they arrived.
