Police say they received reports of a person shot near the intersection of Pequonnock and Vine streets.
When they arrived, they found a 20-year-old man shot in the shoulder. He was taken to the hospital for a nonlife-threatening injury.
The preliminary investigation suggests the victim was targeted and that he was approached by two armed suspects wearing all black clothing who shot multiple rounds at him and then took off. Anyone with information is asked to call police at (203) 576-7901.
