Saturday was the final day for residents to vote early before Connecticut's presidential primary on Tuesday.

State officials said 13,000 voters turned out to polling places during the first three days of early voting. No major issues were reported.

Gov. Ned Lamont, who voted early at Greenwich Town Hall Saturday, praised the convenience.

"You're going right to a town hall here in Greenwich, I'll be there with the registrar just like a traditional vote and be able to cast a vote on a Saturday instead of having to take a day off next Tuesday," said Lamont.

Greenwich officials said Saturday turnout was modest. State officials said the strongest participation day was on Tuesday, with slight declines reported on Wednesday and Thursday. There was no early voting on Friday because of Good Friday.
