Wilton police: Man arrested for impersonating an FBI agent

The New Haven man falsely reported a domestic incident to Wilton police.

Wilton police said a man was arrested for making calls to the police department impersonating an FBI agent.

Perry Charnas, 40, from New Haven, was arrested for placing several calls to the Wilton Police Department in 2022, according to police.

Police said in one of the calls Charnas falsely reported a domestic incident at an address in Wilton.

Charnas was held on a $30,000 bond.
