Fairfield PD: Male recovered from waters off Lighthouse Point identified
The department said the Fairfield County Regional Dispatch Center received a report shortly after noon on Saturday of two people who were struggling in the water.

The Fairfield Police Department announced Monday morning that the male recovered from the waters off Lighthouse Point and Penfield Reef was identified as 29-year-old Luis Llivipuma-Leon of Ossining, NY.
The department said the Fairfield County Regional Dispatch Center received a report shortly after noon on Saturday of two people who were struggling in the water.
Several bystanders were able to rescue one person, but Llivipuma-Leon was not immediately located, which prompted a rescue attempt by the department and other agencies.
A U.S. Coast Guard helicopter found the missing male at about 3 p.m., according to the department.
The department recovered Llivipuma-Leon, transferred him to a marine unit which took him to the shore where he was pronounced dead.
