The Italian American Police Society of Southern Connecticut hosted the annual Vincent Penna Jr. Memorial Car Show in Norwalk.

Proceeds from Sunday's show benefit Vincent Penna Jr. Memorial Scholarship Fund.

Penna, a Westport police officer for 26 years, retired as deputy chief in 2017. In Dec. 2020, he died from a heart attack.

Penna's father says his son had a passion for cars and giving back to the community.

"He was one of a kind, and it shows here today, with the people and in the support that we have. He was unique in his own way. His humor was a little dry, but to the point always, always there for everybody," says Vincent J Penna.

The show featured hundreds of cars, including classic and exotic models along with music, raffle prizes and food trucks.
