A car crashed into a home on Prospect Street in Torrington Saturday, police say.

Authorities determined a 25-year-old woman was speeding in a 2006 Chevy Impala and went through a red light at the intersection of Prospect and Church streets, where the vehicle became airborne.

The driver lost control of the vehicle and began skidding along the road and jumped a curb into a yard.

The car then collided with a flagpole and landed underneath a porch.

The accident caused significant damage to the porch.

No one was injured.

Police say as of now, charges have not been filled.

The incident is under investigation.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Officer Loucks at 860-489-2090.
