The city of Stamford mailed out yellow voter postcards with polling information for the Nov. 5 presidential election.

About 74,000 registered voters received it in the mail, but the polling information was wrong.

"The front of the postcard, where it has the name and the address of the person is correct, the back should be disregarded," said Democratic Deputy Registrar of Voters Monica DiCostanzo.

The Registrar of Voters office says the error was a result of a glitch in the new software system the printing company used.

The company is covering all costs to reprint and mailed out.

"Discard it . New cards will be out. We spoke to the printer this morning. We agreed on everything, no cost to the taxpayers," said Republican Registrar of Voters Lucy Corelli.

The new batch of postcards should arrive in voters' mailboxes later this week.

The new postcards will be a different color so there is no confusion.
