Stamford Transfer Station closed following massive, hours-long fire

A fire broke out in the basement of a home on Horseshoe Lane in Westport Wednesday around 9:30 p.m.

Firefighters responded quickly and were able to contain the fire to a small area.

Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident.
