The president of Bridgeport's police unions announced the union is planning to hold a no confidence vote among its members regarding the leadership of Chief Rodrick Porter.

Union President Michael Salemme stated that an overwhelming majority of members at a private meeting Monday night expressed issues with Porter.

Salemme told News 12 that it is not yet clear when a vote among the full membership may take place.

Porter has been in charge since being hired in 2022, following a no confidence vote against the prior chief.

The union was not clear when the voting will take place.
