A Norwalk woman has created an annual Easter tradition that gets people egg-cited each spring.
Jalna Jaeger has decorated the Japanese maple in front of her East Avenue home with hundreds of plastic eggs for nearly two decades.
Jaeger says the labor-intensive tradition has taken on a life on its own, with the community looking forward to seeing the bright and pretty colors each year.
"I started doing it and people really love it. I've gotten letters, I've gotten cards and people go by and they honk and they wave. I met my neighbors because they came by and said 'Oh, we love your tree.' It's just a nice thing to do for people," she says.
Jaeger encourages people who like her tree to donate to Person to Person food pantry, where she is an active volunteer.
