State police say they arrested a Waterbury man for driving the wrong way on Route 8 in Thomaston.

Officers released dashcam video showing a Nissan Altima traveling southbound in the northbound lanes near Exit 39 on June 25 around 11 p.m.

They were able to stop the car and arrest 31-year-old Marques Envialdo. Charges against him include reckless driving, risk of injury to a child and failure to display plates.

Police say he was released after posting bond and is due in Torrington Superior Court next week.
