Waterbury man arrested for killing parents

Following the shooting, Waterbury police were notified by Watertown police that Adams was a suspect in a burglary in their town and was in their custody.

  • A Waterbury man has been arrested for killing his parents inside their home on Monday, police say.

Javian Adams, 25, is expected to be arraigned in court Wednesday.

The shooting happened at 10:48 p.m. inside a home on Beverly Avenue.

Police say they found Carlene Williams and Marc Adams, both suffering from gunshot wounds.

During a press conference Wednesday, police called the incident tragic and said it revolved around domestic violence.

Following the shooting, Waterbury police were notified by Watertown police that Adams was a suspect in a burglary in their town and was in their custody.

Waterbury police were able to obtain an arrest warrant for Adams.

Adams faces numerous charges including murder with special circumstances, murder during the commission of a felony, criminal use of a weapon and carrying a pistol without a permit.

Adams is being held on a $5 million bond.
