State delegation honors Sandy Hook survivors at gun violence press conference

State and local officials, alongside gun violence survivors and advocates, stood together to hold a press conference to honor the Sandy Hook school shooting victims.

Event speakers included Sen. Richard Blumenthal, Sen. Chris Murphy, Rep. John Larson, Rep. Joe Courtney, Rep. Rosa DeLauro, Rep. Jim Himes and Rep. Jahana Hayes, who all advocated for changes needed to minimize and eventually end gun violence.

The press conference was aimed at reminding the public of the tragedy of Sandy Hook, which took place 13 years ago on Sunday, Dec. 14.
