As the FBI is releasing new video of a person of interest in the Brown University mass shooting, a local doctor with ties to Brown is hearing from doctors who are treating the victims.

Dr. Shea Gregg, Chair of Surgery at St. Vincent's Medical Center and Chair of the Connecticut State Trauma Committee used to work with the trauma team at Brown, the team that is now treating the shooting victims.

Police say the shooting happened Saturday about 4 p.m. at an engineering and physics building in an economics class, as students were taking their final exams.

They say the gunman killed two students and injured nine others.

Doctor Gregg says he is sad for what happened and reached out to his friends who are treating the victims.

"I practiced at Brown for fuve years immediately after residency and the people who are taking care of those victims are the recipients of these people who are shot, of these students, these innocent individuals. So I within minutes of hearing it reached out to all of them and expressed support. They said they were doing the best they could given the circumstances," said Gregg.

As police continue their investigation, students and the community have been frustrated with the official response after the shooting.
