GasBuddy: Connecticut gas prices up 2 cents from last week

The state average is $2.84 a gallon, which is 5.9 cents per gallon lower than a month ago.

Connecticut drivers might notice a slight rise in gas prices when they fill up, with a gallon of regular gas going up by 2 cents from last week, according to GasBuddy. The state average is $2.84 a gallon, which is 5.9 cents per gallon lower than a month ago.

According to GasBuddy price reports, the cheapest station in Connecticut was priced at $2.51 a gallon Sunday while the most expensive was $3.69 a gallon — a difference of $1.18 a gallon.

The national average price of gasoline has fallen 9 cents a gallon in the past week, averaging $2.83 a gallon Monday. The national average is up 3.9 cents a gallon from a month ago and stands 21.3 cents a gallon lower than a year ago, according to GasBuddy data compiled from more than 11 million weekly price reports covering over 150,000 gas stations across the country.
