The City of Norwalk invites residents to get active this spring with a series of adult pickleball classes designed for players of all skill levels.
Organized by Norwalk Recreation and Parks, the program will offer both beginner and intermediate sessions focused on teaching the fundamentals of the fast-growing sport, including rules, gameplay and strategy. Officials say the classes are structured to provide a fun and supportive environment for participants looking to learn or improve their skills.
Intermediate classes will be held on Tuesdays from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Woodward Park Courts 7 and 8 on May 12, 19, 26, June 2 and 9, with a rain date scheduled for June 16.
Beginner classes will take place on Thursdays from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Ludlow Park Courts 1 and 2 on May 14, 21, 28, June 4 and 11. A rain date is set for June 18.
An additional beginner session will be offered on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Rowayton Courts 1 and 2 on May 16, 23, 30, June 6 and 13, with a rain date of June 20.
Each class is limited to eight participants. The cost is $120 for Norwalk residents and $140 for non-residents. Participants are required to bring their own paddles.
Officials encourage those interested to register early, as space is limited.
