Mother’s Day is coming up this Sunday, and there is a great way to honor Mom while also helping others.

The Bridgeport Hospital Milford Campus Mother’s Day 5K is this Sunday at 8:30 a.m. It raises thousands of dollars for patients and services at the Milford Campus.

The event includes a timed 5K run and walk, along with a 3K fitness walk and Kid’s Fun Run for children 9 and younger. Children ages 9 and under are free. There are prizes for the top three runners in all age groups and special prizes for the fastest mother–daughter and mother–son teams.
