18-year-old beaten, robbed during clothing transaction in Allerton

According to the NYPD, an 18-year-old man was set to meet up with two men to exchange clothes late Monday around 11:20 p.m.

Police are searching for two people after a clothing sale went wrong in Allerton on Monday night.

According to the NYPD, an 18-year-old man was set to meet up with two men to exchange clothes late Monday around 11:20 p.m. The arrangement was inside a building near Waring and Bronxwood avenues and the agreement was to purchase clothes from the victim.

During the exchange, the two men began to attack the 18-year-old by kicking and punching him all over his body before taking out a gun. The attackers got away with the victim's bag which had the clothing items, jewelry, and a phone all totaling up to $5,980.

The victim is expected to be OK. He refused to be seen on scene by paramedics. However, police say the two men responsible are still out there.

Anyone who recognizes them is asked to call the Crime Stoppers hotline.
