The Norwalk Community Health Center (NCHC), Food Rescue US - Fairfield County and the Norwalk Health Department are partnering to launch a produce donation program.

The goal of the Sprout & Share Program will provide fresh, local food to those in need.

The Sprout & Share Program happens every Wednesday at the NCHC Farmers Market at 120 Connecticut Ave., Norwalk, CT from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Organizers say nearly 15% of Norwalk residents are food insecure.

There are three ways to donate produce:

  1. Bring produce from your home or community garden to donate.

  2. Purchase extra produce when shopping at the farmer’s market.

  3. Donate unsold produce from participating market vendors.

All donations will be delivered to a local organization serving Norwalk residents.
