St. Vincent's Medical Center hosted a kickoff Tuesday morning for its annual farm stand.

The farm stand features fresh crops, eggs, farm-made products and a live cooking demo.

It doubles as a free "Know Your Numbers" health care event.

"We do offer blood pressure and A1C screenings at each of our farm stand markets. We also offer SNAP,” said Marilyn Faber, parish nurse coordinator at St. Vincent's Medical Center. “So, there's somebody here from SNAP to help people to double their SNAP dollars."

The farm stand will be open every Tuesday outside the Medical Center Main Entrance until Dec. 1.
