It remains beautiful today with highs in the lower to mid-80s this afternoon under a sunny sky. Things begin to change tomorrow with the high pressure pivoting offshore. We will begin to see some destabilization of our air, inducing late afternoon thunderstorms on Wednesday.

For Thursday, a south wind retains the heat and humidity. Highs may reach the low 90s from Thursday through Sunday, which will be a heat wave. Thunderstorms on Thursday night will be strong to severe. They are fast moving and blast through the state between 6-8 p.m.

Friday will be another hot day with highs in the 90s with high humidity. There will be a front passing by late at night that wrings out the humidity for the weekend, likely between 8-11 p.m.
