Wilton police are looking for a man who attempted to break into a home Thursday night

It happened around 9:45 p.m. in the area of Buckingham Ridge Road. Police say the man was seen on the Ring camera of a home he approached.

Officers responded to the home, searched the outside of the property and canvassed the neighborhood for the suspect.

K-9 teams from Westport police and Ridgefield police also responded to the home to track the area.

Police believe the man was driving a dark colored small SUV or hatchback.

Anyone with information is asked to call the police at 203-834-6260.

Police are also reminding residents to lock their doors and windows, utilize motion-activated lighting and install security cameras.
