A new children’s resale store has opened in Norwalk, offering families an affordable and eco-friendly option for clothing, toys and equipment.

Once Upon A Child, located on Westport Avenue, specializes in gently used kids’ items and pays parents cash for pieces their children have outgrown.

The store is part of Winmark — the Resale Company, a national franchise focused on sustainability and small business development. The brand is known for offering name-brand children’s clothing and accessories at lower prices while helping families recirculate items instead of throwing them away.

The Norwalk location is owned by Lauren Rossi, a local mother of two who said she wanted to create a business that supports families and the environment. With rising costs making new children’s clothing harder to afford, Rossi said she hopes the store becomes a resource for families seeking budget-friendly options.
