Motorcyclist killed in crash on I-95 South in Fairfield

A motorcyclist died in the hospital Sunday night following a crash on I-95 South in the area of the Fairfield rest area, according to state police.
Troopers say 37-year-old Jose Bautista Soto was riding his motorcycle just after 10:30 p.m. when he struck the back of a car.
They say Bautista Soto was thrown from the motorcycle after it crashed onto its side.
He was taken to Bridgeport Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Both vehicles were towed.
State police did not provide details on the conditions of the driver or their passengers.
