Milford police bodycam shows car rescue from last week’s storms

Two people were rescued from a flooded car last week, according to Milford police.
Police say the car died during heavy rainfall leaving the victims stuck inside. Officers released bodycam footage showing the encounter with the driver and passenger.
Police were able to break the driver’s side window before unlocking the passenger side door to get the two victims out safely.
They say ahead of more potentially dangerous weather this week, the department is asking the public to remember important storm safety tips.
That includes:
Avoid driving if possible.
Do not drive through water.
Be cautious under bridges/overpasses.
