The Dow Jones Industrial plunged more than 1100 points, making Wednesday its worst day in more than a year.

After the Federal Reserve left interest rates unchanged for the fifth straight meeting.

Aside from the three major indexes, the reaction in the bond market also signaled concerns among investors.

Wednesday's developments will have a very real-world impact right now.

Federal Reserve Chairman Kevin Warsh addressed that concern in remarks Wednesday.

"Inflation remains elevated relative to the committee's 2% goal. you've heard this before, but we will deliver price stability," said Warsh.

But Warsh may not have given enough details on how he plans to do that.

Other contributing factors to the market tumble include rising oil prices, and tech sector worries.
