An emaciated dog was found in Monroe, animal control officials say.
The female pocket pit/bully breed-type mix, which has brown and tan coloring, was found near Barn Hill and East Village roads.
Officials say the dog is emaciated and has numerous open sores all over its body.
Officers did not find a microchip when they scanned the pup with a universal scanner.
Desmond's Army Animal Law Advocates say an appointment has been made for the dog to receive veterinary care.
