The Milford man accused of targeting Flock license plate reader cameras in the city told police it was his idea.

According to his arrest warrant, Eyad Rahim informed police he vandalized and knocked down the cameras because he believed the cameras were unconstitutional and violated people's privacy.

Police say Rahim and minor took down the cameras, cut wires and spray painted the lenses.

Investigators say four cameras were damaged.

The cost to repair or replace each one is estimated to cost between $3,000 to $4,000.

Rahim is expected to appear in court in September.
